Friends of KDZ

These folks are some great comrades to have, and KDZ is grateful to be able to share their joys of rhythm making with them.  Check 'em out,  we bet you'll like them too...

Shiva Rea

Devout Yogini and weaver of worlds, Shiva has been a long-time friend and supporter of KDZ.  From drumming for her yoga flows, to spreading our music on compilations and DVDs, Shiva helps spread our spark of rhythm with her own passion for music, yoga and truth.

Take a look at these amazing creations in which KDZ is featured on:
Yoga Trance Dance
Nataraja
& more to come.

Lipbone Redding

A man of many talents and longtime friend, Lipbone is on KDZ's newest release playing his amazing lip trumpet. You have to hear it to believe it, and even then it's still amazing. Mix that with his great vocals, solid guitar playing and the Lipbone Orchestra behind him and you just can't go wrong. Check him out anywhere you can.

Toni Bergins

Another long time friend of the band is our very own Shaman Dance Diva, Toni Bergins.  We get doses of her amazing energy almost weekly, as do many people throughout New England and beyond.  Danskinetics teacher, founder of JourneyDance and great person to be around, Toni and KDZ have been able to share the joy of their passions during Tonis programs, trainings, workshops, dance classes and more...

Ever danced alone in your living room with hundreds of people?
Go on a JourneyDance experience and you'll know what we mean...

Sierra Bender

For years now KDZ has enjoyed joining Sierra Benders Bootcamp for Goddesses program, as well as other workshops and adventures she masterfully creates.  Delving into her passions of nutrition, fitness, sweatlodges, intentions, nature, drumming and more, you'll see why KDZ  is excited to have a friend like her.

Don't let the army pants fool you... but don't let the kind smile fool you either.  She sees your higher potential, and she'll bring you there... like it or not. :)

Megha Nancy Buttenheim

Megha is one of KDZ's closest friends who knew us from before we were even KDZ.  She has long stood by us (or more appropriately DANCED) along with us at Kripalu Danskinetics classes and other programs and workshops she leads.  As trainer of Kripalu Danskinetics, we've been able to actively participate in the alchemy of her transforming everyday dancers into amazing Danskinetics Teachers.

Megha is someone who's dial goes to '11' and can show you how to ecstatically get there too.

Rich Goodheart

In the recent years ('05 to present), KDZ has been able to have the unique soundscapes of Rich Gooheart join us during various Danskinetics classes, and evening concerts... to rave review.  So it's no wonder he's one of the few musicians who we asked to be on our Slang Rhythm Speak album.  Rich has 5 albums, all of which are a well textured blend of soul and sound mixed with a variety of melodic and percussive instruments.  Keep an eye and ear our for him, we think you'll enjoy.

Gaia Roots

Gaia Roots are rhythm and soul sisters who play throughout our hometown area in the Berkshires.  As an all women drum ensemble, they play catchy original percussive songs as well as powerhouse arrangements of traditional rhythms.  We've shared the stage on a number of occasions and, like so many of their fans, just love being around them.

John Dekadt

John Dekadt (Nanak) is a former member of the drummers at Kripalu and long-time friend to the band.  His talents lay with many a percussive instrument.  Whether it's a bodhran, djembe, hung drum (look it up, it's really cool :) or even his voice, John is sure to intrigue and inspire you.  He's travelled the world over and expresses those experiences in his poetry and rhythm.  From one song to the next you are energetically shuffled from one rhythmic continent to the another.

Bhavani Lorraine Nelson

Bhavani is woman of many talents, from workshops to kirtans to her acclaimed CDs she provides a fun pathway to the divine in its many forms.  KDZ often joins her on these paths, whether it's drumming for her Kirtans, keep a beat in her workshops or playing on her CD's... even singing on one of them!  (only one of us, thank god! :)~  She been a long time Kripalu resident and friend of the band.  Jai Bhavani!
